LLRC Medals at Head of the Hooch

Lake Lanier Rowing Club took 12 women and 10 men past weekend’s Head of the Hooch in downtown Chattanooga, TN, and posted some great results.  Most notably, our Masters Mixed 4x unseated 2 time winning Catawba Yacht Club for the Gold, despite getting in a tangle with a disabled collegiate 4+ in the middle of the course!  The Masters Womens 4x also took home a Bronze and narrowly missed Silver by 2 seconds.  LLRC must also be jinxed with the number 8, because we had 5 different boats land in 8th place.  Almost all boats finished in the top 1/2 of the field, posting a marked improvement from last years turnout.  Another achievement to note is that all boats got to the start on time and ready to go, despite the severe current flowing downstream.  In some cases, it took 3 times as long to get to the start as it did to make it down the course!  See below for a list of full results.  Congratulations everyone!
