Area Attractions

The Lake Lanier Rowing Club is located in Gainesville, Ga., in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the shores of Lake Lanier.

Our lake has 25 miles of protected shoreline, and was host to the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. Gainesville is home to Brenau University and is located one hour north of Atlanta. We are also forty-five minutes away from Athens, Ga., home to the University of Georgia.

Numerous hotel accommodations, all within 15 minutes of the boathouse, make traveling to our venue easy. Plus, there are a number of restaurants in the area who have supported the Lake Lanier Rowing Club and the rowing community. We encourage you to patronize these establishments, and before you leave, thank them for supporting the rowing community.
