September 25th, 2010
8:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Inaugural 500 meter night sprints on the Lake Lanier Olympic Course under the stars. Registration is available on RegattaCentral through September 5th. A regatta packed is also available with additional regatta details on RegattaCentral. A limited number of entries per event will be allowed, so register early to save your spot!
The Course
All races will be run on a 500 meter, fully buoyed course. The course will be lit from above and below the water. Stadium lights will shine from the shore, while LED lights will illuminate each individual buoy. Our yellow/green stoplight system will signal the “attention” and “GO!” just like a drag race.
The Races
Competition is open to collegiate, junior and masters rowers. Categories will include men’s, women’s and Grand Challenge Mixed Boats. Races begin at 8:00 pm and conclude by 10:30 pm. You are welcome to race more than once. All races will be order of finish. First boat across the finish line wins!
The Prizes
Each race gives you a 1 in 4 chance of winning something other than bragging rights. Prizes will include gear from BoxerCraft, NK and H2Row. Regardless of whether you win or lose, all competitors will receive a high visibility LED blinky light courtesy of our sponsors Mariner Insurance and North American Rowing Association.
