Who can join? The Youth Program is open to girls and boys from any high school or middle school in the area. No experience necessary! We will teach you everything you need to know about rowing.
What are the benefits? Rowing is a great sport that combines a full body workout with aerobic training. Especially for female rowers, many college scholarship opportunities are available at schools with Division I programs. Rowing experience can also enhance your college application to Division II and III programs, as well as Ivy League schools. It’s a great way to spend afternoons on the lake!
Rowing can be considered the ultimate team sport – it takes 2, 4, 5 or 9 people working together to get the boat to move fast (or move at all!). One hundred percent attendance is strongly encouraged to facilitate team cohesion and improvements. If you regularly miss practices you will not only be hindering your own success, but the success of the entire team.
For information about joining the program please contact the LLRC office, firstname.lastname@example.org, 770-287-0077. Visit our Facebook page Lake Lanier Junior Crew.
The Spring season is now underway, with practices Monday through Friday afternoons, 4:30 to 6:45. You can pay the Spring 2017 dues at PayPal. Use the dropdown menu below to pay for multiple siblings.
